Ngā mihi nui kia koutou katoa and welcome to you all,

Thank you for considering Nelson Christian Academy as an option for your child’s schooling in the coming years. Nelson Christian Academy is a state-integrated, full primary school (Years 1-8) with a distinctive Christian Special Character. Our amazing school will appeal to families who are looking for a school which delivers a student centred approach, within a context of strong biblical values and family involvement. At Nelson Christian Academy we are a school which is shaped by God’s truths, where the Bible is the basis for exploring and understanding all there is to know.

We aim for our students to grow in wisdom and in stature as they develop knowledge and skills that will carry them successfully into the 21st Century.

Nelson Christian Academy has high expectations for all students to experience success by facilitating learning programmes which meet the needs of all of our students. By living our values throughout the day we support our students to ‘Give Honour’, ‘Show Integrity’, ‘Show Resilience’ and ‘Seek Truth’. Through our restorative approach to behaviour, we enhance a whānau like atmosphere. We have an emphasis on developing strong relationships with our students, our families and the wider community.

We offer schooling for Years 0 to 8 students through the New Zealand National Curriculum. At Nelson Christian Academy the truth of God’s Word addresses all areas of life and impacts on our response to each child, be it; spiritual, academic, physical, social or emotional. We are a diverse school who welcomes students from many nations and, in doing so, we have a learning community that encourages enjoyment and appreciation of the strengths and differences that each of us brings to our lives together.

If you align with our christian character and our school values, we welcome & invite you into our beautiful school for a show around at a time that suits you.

Nāku noa, blessing
